What happened

A Zhejiang precious-metals company, its name masked in the official notice, was convicted of unit bribery by Xianju County People's Court on 30 October 2021. From 2015 to 2018 it gave staff of the county and city environmental protection bureaus a gold item, a used car and half the profits from illegally refined rhodium. One county official successively received RMB 6.35 million of that profit share. The company did not appeal, and the judgment took effect.
